New childhood immunisations programme from September 2006
The Department of Health is introducing important changes to the childhood immunisation programme. For more information please visit the NHS Immunisation Information website.
We recommend that all babies have a full set of immunisations. Recommended vaccination ages are:
Two months: Diptheria/Tetanus/Pertussis/Polio/HiB and Pneumococcal conjugate vaccine
Three months: Diptheria/Tetanus/Pertussis /Polio/HiB and Meningitis C
Four months: Diptheria/Tetanus/ Pertussis/Polio/HiB and Meningitis C and pneumococcal conjugate vaccine
Twelve months: Hib/Meningitis C
Thirteen months: Measles/Mumps/Rubella(MMR1) and Meningitis C
Four-five years: Pre-school booster – Diptheria/Tetanus/Pertussis/Polio; also Measles/Mumps/Rubella(MMR2) and Meningitis C if not given at 1 year
